Well arrived in Roccaraso, Abruzzo, Italy.

We are here for the European Snowkite Contest with Kitetracker and Alto Sangro resorts.

The competition is a race on a really large terrain.

The results are decided after checking out the Kitetracker files.

But today, tuesday 28th, the contest is not already On and that was a cruising session to check the spot.

Amazing conditions we had as a very strong N/O wind was blowing about 30-40 knots.

We went twice behind the ridge you can see on the photo above and as well really far on the right to the northern area of the spot.

Tomorrow wednesday 29th will be the real competition with all kiters coming from all over Europe.

Big powder on the Monte Greco area.

Short blue sky window

After a few days with endless snowshowers and foggy bad weather, there had been a short blue sky window on last wednesday 22nd.

So I let all my job to do on the laptop and went straight to the Lautaret Pass for a cool session on the southern area.

So cool to meet all my friends up-there once again.

Some staying here a few days more after the crazy Snowkitemasters week.

Super blue sky all the day long, perfect fresh powder snow, and pretty stable 15knds south wind blowing until the night.

2014 Snowkitemasters DAY #7

Last day for the event in Serre-Chevalier.

Snowstorm from the morning until 2.30 PM

Then the fog went away.

We started with a huuuuge freeriding session.

And the SKM freestyle contest could complete the finals ski and snowboard.

In the evening, price giving at Le Frog.

Flat light so no competition.

Some crazy snowkiters went anyway on the park to have fun.

North wind On/Off today on the Snowkitemasters park.

A few hits of the freestyle competition.

And some free sessions as well.

We kept mainly sitting on the snow while waiting for the breeze.

Cool to chill around with the friends.

2014 SNOWKITEMASTERS Day#4

A cold day for the SKM freestyle competition.

The blue sky was due according to the forecast but we staid in the clouds/fog with flat light all the day long. Anyway, all competitions have been great : ski, snowboard, girls, boys, super high level on the SKM park.

And during the stand-bye times, some free sessions were really impressive as well.

At the end, it was nearly to be night and even the snowshower came time by time.

Thank to the crazy snowkiters super motivated for a dark session with flash lightning.
